Looking for ways to get even more from your Friendship Book? Here’s a list of great activities to try (download PDF here):

SLUMBER PARTY. The kids can participate in a fun activity with their friends and also have a fabulous keepsake and memory of the night.

BIRTHDAY PARTY. Get enough Friendship Books for you and all of your friends. Together, have fun filling them in and decorating them with stickers. Read the best answers out loud and share what you have learned about each other.

PRE-GIFT. Normally, you wouldn’t use a present before giving it away. However, by filling in a friend’s page before giving a Friendship Book, you make it even more special. When given as a family gift, you can have multiple family members fill in pages before presenting it. Think of the fun that will be had reading what the adults want to be when they grow up or learning their least favorite school subject.

FAREWELL PRESENT. Pass it around to your classmates before moving to a new town/school. This is a great way to have everyone’s contact info, picture and memories in one place.

WELCOME PRESENT. Welcome a new friend to your class or neighborhood with a Friendship Book.

KEEP IN TOUCH WITH DISTANT FAMILY. Who doesn’t like getting mail? Mail your Friendship Book to family living in other cities, states or even overseas. When your book comes back, pass it on to the next family member. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay in touch and share with your distant family members: cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

GET-WELL PRESENT. Is one of your classmates or friends in the hospital or sick at home? Surprise them with a filled in Friendship Book.

HOMESCHOOL KEEPSAKE.
Are you a parent who homeschools her/his children? Friendship Books are the perfect way for your children to stay in touch with their friends and preserve precious childhood memories.

GUESSING GAME. Cut as many little pieces of paper as you have friends. Choose your favorite question from the book and write it on each piece of paper. Provide each friend a question, then have each friend write down their secret answer. Later, you can draw the answers and guess who wrote it. Have fun guessing who is who.

SECRET GROUP GAME. Divide your friends into three or more groups. Each group secretly picks one person to fill in the friends’ pages. You act as the moderator and read the answers out loud to the other groups. The group guessing the correct person wins. In the next round, each group picks another person and the guessing starts again. It’s fun to see how much you really know about each other.

CLASS REUNION. 10, 15 or 20 years from now, bring your treasured Friendship Book to your class reunion. Enjoy sharing your memories.
